I thought perhaps he was killed at Dieppe because it occurred during this time period, but he is not listed in the book of remembrance. The name "Bert Raymond" is taken from the cemetery records. "Birty Ray" was on his birth cert.
There are two stones to commemorate him, and one makes reference to "father", so he must have been married and had children.
