MAKE HER TO BE ?? WHEN FIRST CHILD BORN, AND 101 WHEN DIED. COULD THIS BE A
COUSIN? OR PERHAPS THIS FRANCIS DIED AND THEY NAMED THE NEXT GIRL THE SAME?

- As per Michael Ginn:
No Frances Evelyn Dutton birth 1858-1860. Plenty of Frances Dutton births.
None of which could have had a birth date of Aug 26th, 1859. "Locally" (ie to
Liverpool) I found births in Great Boughton district registered first quarter
1860, Nantwich [?] district first quarter 1859 and Northwich district second
quarter 1860.
- As per Mrs. Maureen Price, Supt Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages,
Stafford Registration District (after sent request for Birth: Female, Aug/1859,
Stafford):
I have researched the birth in Stafford in which you are interested, but I am
reluctant to issue a certified copy as I have no way of confirming whether or
not it is relevant to your family history. It would seem not, however, as
the date of birth is not as stated (although the month and year are the same).
May I mention that prior to the 1870s the registration of births was not
infact compulsory so it is possible that the event was unregistered.
[Note Sept 7/99: Death cert shows Aug 29 not 26, possible the above
said 29]
Stories:
See William John Wood for story of them and their family included in the
Moosomin Century One Town and Country book.
Frances is included in the Pioneers' 60th Anniversary picture (June 1943) as
stated in William John Wood's writeup.
- As per letter from Joyce (Mallett) Poole received Dec 2, 1991. Not written
in her exact words.
Frances was a beautiful person. Very stylish. She never went out not
dressed to the nines. Not very tall but she commanded respect.
