(Archd. of Barum) This probate fits this Richard because the timeframe is correct, and the name "Rychard Bellew" shows up again, as it did in his father's probate. Richard Bellew must have been either Richard Mallett's uncle or grandfather - or an in-law - but somehow related to his mother Katherine. He is also tied to the Mallet's of Ash by the presence of his 1st cousin William Mallett of Iddesleigh during the probate. There is no land mentioned in the probate, and no children.
