All of the brothers and at least one sister (Kate), along with their mother, emigrated to Toronto after their father died, and at least for a time, all lived together at the same place, apparently 107 Church at the corner of Richmond. Octavius became quite prominent in Toronto as a dealer in Pianos, and is perhaps the only one to have had offspring who survived and had offspring of their own.

    • The precise location of their property is not stated, but it may have been 107 Church, at the corner of Richmond. This address is listed many times in Toronto directories, mostly associated with Octavius Newcombe and his burgeoning piano business. They owned a house on 1 building lot, with 1 barn/stable, 4 carriages/sleighs, and 3 horses. It sounds as though they were quite well to do, and it seems that the entire family may have lived at the same address, on and off.
