- Tom worked for many years for the Birmingham City Council in the Lord Mayors Parlour.
He didn't marry until later in life in 1953.
Met his wife Kathleen Short a very nice lady they both didn't marry as the mothers who were widowed insisted that they wait until they died. Of course it was too late for children then. But it would seem as though they were both devoted to each other.
I have spoken to another relative who knew Tom and they have said that he was a real gentleman; a very mild mannered man.
