Father Frederick James MALLETT, b. 13 Jul 1873, Sauk County, Wisconsin, USA d. 15 Dec 1937, Oregon State Hospital, Salem, Oregon, USA (Age 64 years) Mother Anna L TAYLOR, b. 11 Mar 1870, Buena Vista, Oregon, USA d. 31 Mar 1949, 8035 SW Capital Hill Road, Portland (Rural), Oregon, USA (Age 79 years) Marriage Est 1917 Portland, Oregon, USA [1, 2, 3] - Her surname, at the time of her marriage to Fred, according to several sources, was TAYLOR; but her father's name, accoring to her death certificate, was SMITH. The person who supplied the information on the death cert (informant) was Wm C Taylor, so there is obviously a Taylor connection. Perhaps she too had been married before she married Fred, Taylor being her first married name, and Wm C Taylor was a son from this previous marriage.
The 1930 census provides evidence that she was indeed married to someone else before Fred, because she gave her "Age at First Marriage" as 16, which gives a marriage year of 1886.
