    • There is nothing to corroborate this death other than that the family lore says that he was killed at a young age in an accident involving a runaway horse and carriage. But the age at death fits perfectly. This Joseph was 37 in 1879, giving a birth year of 1842, which is correct for the Joseph in this family, and Joseph's wife Annie was remarried in 1881.
