Stephen senior's age in the 1881 census is consistent with his birth date.

    • Catherine Shannon is the only Catherine found in the Civil Indexes who married a Stephen Mallett. The name Catherine is consistent with the wife of Stephen in the 1881 census. That Stephen's age (33) is consistent with this Stephen.

      The family has not been found in any census after 1911, but Catherine and two of the sons were found in 1911, still living in Pancras, so the family was likely there all along.
