Exwick
This village on the western edge of Exeter was home to members of the Dowland and South Tawton branches of the Mallett family. Of particular interest is Exwick Mill which was owned by William Richard Mallett, who bought it from the Buller family. William knew Sir Redvers Buller of Boer War fame. William's family lived at Hamlyns Farm which is close to the mill.

1960s Mallett's Exonia Recipe Book. Published by WR Mallett Limited of Exwick Flour Mills, Exeter. Promotional pamphlet, 16 pages, with various flour based recipes for cakes, scones, icing, biscuits etc., all in imperial units (as advertised on eBay).
It is now owned by a member of the Mallett family in Australia.
