- Probably married a Dunn. 1871 census shows a Samuel Dunn, grandson, age 2, born Alwington, living with Mary's parents (William & Elizabeth). Since it shows their other daughters as unmarried, Samuel is probably Mary's son.
As per BM email Nov 9, 2000:
On the subject of Samuel Dunn, grandson of William and Elizabeth Mallett, I have found a Mary Dunn, widow, age 40, born in "Alivington" Devon in the 1881 census. She was living in Wear Gifford, Devon with a John Edwd. Dunn, age 10, born in Littlehampton, Devon. I have only an estimated birth date for Mary, daughter of William and Elizabeth, of abt. 1846 (5 in the 1851 census), which would make her 35 in 1881. There is a Samuel Dunn age 13 living in the home of William and Eliza Clark (ages 26 and 27 respectively). His relationship to them, if any, is not given.
